The Goddess motif is among the earliest artistic representations. She represents freedom, beauty, life, and strength, among many other things. Each person has her own special meanings for the Goddess and she is a wonderful example of individuality.
Standing almost 8″ tall, her designs are in the traditional henna style, with bronze metallic paint on one side and red-tan on the other. Inside is a mixture of seeds, beans, and small rocks. All the paints I use are specific for leather and I finish them with a leather sealant to protect their beauty for years to come.
Dangling from her hands are two small beads and a tiny Buddha pendant. I thought he was appropriate in creating a harmony between male and female – a reminder that we are better together and not apart.
